Admission
Undergraduate KHS students entering Wayne State University
from high school are admitted directly into the College of Education,
and take General Education courses concurrently with KHS requirements.
Students must, however, apply for formal admission to the College
of Education when they have completed fifty semester hours and
must have met all of the five criteria listed below.
Students transferring from other universities or from other
colleges within Wayne State University must meet the following
criteria to be eligible for admission:
1. Students must have an overall grade point average of 2.5
or above.
2. Students must satisfactorily complete both the University
English and Math Proficiency Exams, and pass the basic skills
portion of the Michigan Teacher for Teacher Certification (MTTC).
3. Students must have completed English 1020 or an acceptable
equivalent.
4. Students must document group work with children at the
time of application.
5. Students must display physical and emotional health commensurate
with the demands of the physical education profession.
