Introduction:
The Master of Education Degree in Kinesiology
is designed to enhance the preparation of students for careers
in physical education as teachers, coaches, administrators and
researchers. The following specializations are offered:

This emphasis is designed primarily
to prepare students for careers in areas such as exercise physiology,
cardiac rehabilitation, sport psychology, motor behavior, and
measurement and evaluation.
This emphasis is designed primarily
to prepare students for careers in health enhancement practice
at the clinical or corporate level or for research into the effects
of life-style change on overall health and physical vitality.
This emphasis is designed primarily
to provide both a theoretical and practical background for the
teacher or administrator of physical education and sports programs
at elementary and secondary levels.
Program Requirements:
Prospective student should apply to
the Wayne State University Office of Graduate Admissions. Either
an undergraduate degree in physical education, a closely related
field or extensive study in the area is expected. An honor point
average of 2.60 or above is required for regular admission status.
